Hello,
Project Setup Analyst needed --- Location:  Phoenix, AZ
 
GeoLogics is working with one of the hiring managers at an excellent aerospace company and he is in search of a Project Setup Analyst (#3987). This is a contract position with a 9 month duration (with possible extensions.) You must be a US Citizen to apply. 
 
Hourly Rate:  $36-40 (DOE)
 
Position Description:
  • Under direct supervision, learns and utilizes professional concepts in the performance of the primary duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as lead for Accounts Receivable for Phoenix related project “setups”.
  • Monitor project setup mailbox and action project setup form in timely manner.
  • Review the Subproject Setup Form (form number 094875) submitted by the Project Financial Analyst validate form against the newly awarded contract or contract modification to ensure the form is complete and accurate.
  • Address any concerns with the information on the form / template with the Project Financial Analyst or seek guidance from the Government Compliance department as required.
  • Create the new project within Oracle, update the Project Setup log (MS Excel file), and save the project setup form / template in the “New Projects” directory.
  • Once the project has been added or updated, send email notification to the Project Financial Analyst so they can create chargeable tasks and create transactions controls.
  • After a new project has been entered or an existing project modified, the Project Setup Analyst will need to fund the new CLIN/Project on a new individual funding agreement or update the existing agreement within Oracle and subsequently baseline in Projects.
  • After the funding has been entered or updated, the Project Setup Analyst will baseline the funding on each project within Oracle to allow for billing.
  • Review, analyze, and request shipment requests approval from the Manager, Accounts Receivable.
  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendations to the Manager, Accounts Receivable for commercial customer credit requests.
  • Assist on an as needed basis with Fixed Assets inventory cycle counts.

  • Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel and customers.
  • Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of general and cost accounting principles, auditing principles, and computer systems and financial software applications.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Courtesy and tack is an important part of the job in exchange of information within the department, project team, internal and external customers.
Problem Solving skills
  • A relatively high level of analytical ability to analyze financial and non-financial information and make suggestions regarding its use.
  • Works on problems of limited scope.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills ERP systems knowledge, in particular Oracle.
 
Skills Preferred (not required):
  • Department of Defense contract accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS
Education Required:
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
