The successful applicant for this Quality Assurance Engineering role will have the opportunity to grow their skills in the QA domain, as they will working alongside talented software developers to produce high quality, reliabe solutions for the customer.  The QAE will work with industry standards and new technologies to complete assigned tasks, such as Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber Behavior Driven Development, and Confluence.
If you are selected for this role, working under limited direction you will be:
  • Leading a team of QA Engineers
  • Creating software test and automating test cases, performing application testing, validating bugs, and isolating issues
  • Writing and initiating tests and then analyzing and reporting the test results in the ticketing system; and performing configuration management, change management, and release management
  • Writing summary reports that help executive managers determine how to proceed in completing the project
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products
  • Designing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products
  • Performing analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary
  • Providing technical review of documents, drawings, assembly instructions, and project plans
  • Comparing defects against standards and recommending dispositions, verifies implementation of rework
  • Collecting, organizing and analyzing project data, generating and/or reviewing metrics
  • Performing audits, assigning corrective action, and verifying implementation
  • Participating in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews, material review boards, change control boards, failure review boards
  • Participating in continuous improvement and problem solving activities within the project
  • Reviewing documents/Drawings/Instructions for conformance to requirements
  • Witnessing and/or monitoring test activities
  • Contributing to the completion of major programs and projects
  • Instigating and responding to regular contact with senior levels of internal work groups
  • Contacting project leaders and other professionals within Engineering and Operations departments, and with project teams across the company as well as external customers
  • Providing resolution to a diverse range of complex problems
  • Working as an individual technical contributor on one or more projects
  • Being Recognized as an authority in a specific domain of expertise (e.g. hardware or software engineering)
  • Participating as an active member of the project team
  • Independently determining approach to solutions
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be citizen of the United States
  • Must have an ACTIVE DoD Top Secret Clearance at time of application
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Documented and demonstrated experience in a Quality Assurance role within a software development project
