Opportunity:  Quality Engineer / DOD-Aerospace / Mesa AZ (Immediate need…)
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Bachelor level degree in either Mechanical or Electronic discipline.
5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role
Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Inspect and disposition production hardware. You will also work with the team to set goals and prioritize workloads. In addition, you will strive towards continuous improvement through lean concepts and Root Cause and Corrective Action.
This role contributes to the ability for the company to meet or exceed schedule commitments, and ensuring product quality reliability for our customers.
Responsibilities include:
  • Inspection of IPC-A610 Class 3 hardware
  • Review and acceptance of First Article Inspection documentation
  • Inspection of Cable assemblies per IPC-WHMA-620 Class 3
  • Documentation of non-conformances into database along with Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities using Lean Concepts
  • Analysis of defect trend data leading to identification of process improvements/ and or defect elimination
  • Ability to read and decipher product drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Ability to successfully certify to both IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-620
  • Knowledge and understanding of AS9100 requirements
  • Performing audits of internal processes and documentation of Corrective Action
  • Input of data in Manufacturing Control System
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
To succeed in this role you should have the following skills and experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-620 certifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with First Article Inspection documentation
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with AS9100
  • Experience in working with Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • Experience in working with Circuit Card Assemblies and Box Level Builds
  • Experience working with Lean Production Work Teams
  • Experience in working with Computers and Microsoft Tools (WORD, EXCEL, Power Point, Visio).
  • Experience in mechanical inspections
