Our client is seeking motivated candidates to join our insider threat detection, systems integration team.  Our mission oriented team is responsible for the design, testing, deployment, maintenance, operation, and evolution of the systems directly supporting the insider threat detection program of a large government customer in the United States Intelligence Community (USIC).  Our client has an immediate opening for a SAS Visualization Programmer.  A SAS Visualization Programmer will help us expand our insider threat capabilities to design, develop and manage a variety of visualizations, equipment and systems solutions.  The successful candidate will help define the shape of this endeavor while working directly with our Insider Threat Program and Counterintelligence team members. The SAS Visualization Programmer will assist in the identification of data sources, perform exploratory data analysis, data manipulation, as well as develop new and improve existing visualizations of data sets to provide new user behavior insight. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that provides an opportunity to leverage cutting edge technologies in pursuit of a vital mission that protects people, sensitive information/technologies, and the national security posture of the USIC
Key Responsibilities:
SAS Visualization Programmer conducts or participates in the research, design and development of data processing, and custom SAS visualizations. Responsibilities also include enhancements, modifications and corrections to existing software, data processing workflows, and visualizations. SAS Visualization Programmer will assist in the design and development of processes to extract data from existing databases and merge with new additional data to load into Big Data platforms, providing a robost and dynamic visual capability for Insider Threat analysis.
Additional Responsibilities/Skills:
  • SAS VIYA and/or 9.4 experience
  • Collaborate with Insider Threat Analysts and Advanced Analytics team to develop innovative Insider Threat capabilities to further enhance our proactive and reactive analytical process
  • A strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Python and/or Javascript experience
  • Make stored Big Data available in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist in testing of decision support visualizations
  • Assist in the amelioration of data quality issues
  • Capable of working on complex problems of diverse scope or situations or data that requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Detailed and very strong knowledge of technology trends and champions new ideas and product and process improvements
  • Very strong ability to excel at the development of new theories and visualization methods
  • Very strong ability to be creative, innovative and responsible, and able to master advanced decision-making skills
  • Very strong ability to grasp and apply new information quickly
  • Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects as a technical SME with little or no direction
  • Very strong ability to be a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments

  • Assist in the proactive identification of new collection methodologies for the Insider Threat Program
  • Execute, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Insider Threat Program
