Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Cybersecurity Associate – Vulnerability Management to join our IT Cybersecurity (ITCS) team. The position provides an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. Our clients employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions, while simultaneously supporting core business needs. The selected candidate will work within the IT Cyber Security team which collaborates with members of IT and the business to continuously improve the security posture of the organization. This team also engages in various projects that assess risk and make decisions on appropriate risk management strategies.
Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with professionals from across the company and a variety of disciplines to enhance their business acumen, grow their network and create innovative solutions to difficult business challenges. On this program you will the opportunity to work directly alongside other members of the IT, including the Applications, Architecture, Governance, Infrastructure, and Project Management teams.

Key Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Associate – Vulnerability Management will oversee the vulnerability and configuration management services managed by Mission Systems Information Technology. This will include both operational, as well as governance and risk management aspects of the service. Candidate will be expected to model Alignment, Value Creation, Honesty and Trust in partnering with the business to develop and execute on innovative solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for the creation of vulnerability management organizations, repositories, and scan zones.
Work with the network team when architectural changes need to be made to the scanning environment.
Support the initial install of the appliance and application along with revision and plugin upgrades.
Add scan policies, audit policies, and credentials to the enterprise vulnerability management solution.
Create and monitor the resolution of platform remediation tickets with vendor.
Work with fellow platform owners in troubleshooting technical issues that may arise and reporting to management when necessary.
Collaborate across IT and Cyber Security to drive awareness of vulnerability and configuration management risk.
Capable of working independently or as a team member to solve cybersecurity problems.
Be part of a collaborative team in addressing vulnerabilities and software issues with various platform owners.
Follow established Information Technology policies and procedures during the delivery of services.
Identify potential areas of continuous improvement.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a basic understanding vulnerability and configuration management, and the ability to advance our clients systems. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent and three to five years of related experience. Candidates will need to:
