Opportunity:  Senior Quality Engineer / DOD-Aerospace / NC-McLeansville / No Clearance (Immediate need…)
 
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
 
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Designs, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products
Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products
Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary
Reviews Documents/Drawings/Instructions for conformance to requirements
Compares defects against standards and recommends dispositions, and verifies implementation of rework
Collects, organizes and analyzes project data, generates and/or reviews metrics
Participates in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews
Verifies compliance to defined requirements
Witnesses and or monitors test activities
Receives instructions from immediate supervisor
Contact with multiple work groups
Works under general supervision
Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel
Some contact with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality departments
may work with suppliers to assure Quality and address nonconformances
Works as an individual technical contributor on one or multiple project
Participates as an active member of the project team
Provides resolution to problems of moderate scope
Travel may be required

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Self starter, highly motivated, quick learner, able to handle quick pace of activities with quality results
Ability to think and act critically and creatively
Ability to multi-task
Considerable ability to clearly recognize and report relevant to sound quality engineering and manufacturing practices
Considerable written and verbal communications skills, including communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
Considerable knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc) methodologies, tools, and standards
Considerable knowledge of interpretation of drawings
Considerable skill in reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements techniques
Considerable interpersonal skills
Considerable knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques
Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Considerable computer skills, both desktop software and required factory or engineering tools

PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical Background preferred. ASQ Certifications desirable.
