Integration - HW/SW Test Engineer
Long term (12+ month) Contract

Do you appreciate portability and ensure readability in design of Perl/TCL/Python scripting? We're growing and building teams in multiple locations and are looking for self-motivated and self-driven engineers with a full spectrum of experience levels from 2 to 10+ years of experience working in an Space Ground Systems environment.  This includes experience with Systems using Telemetry (Wireless Data) with Transponders and Transmitters, Radar, RF, Radio Interfaces, Satellite, Launch Operations or Mission Controls. 
Specific responsibilities will vary depending on experience and skill level but overall the mission across all positions will be to utilize broad knowledge in integration engineering and apply understanding of principles of related engineering for software and hardware technology to:
  • Support the planning and conducting of integration activities; defining integration plans and sequences related to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolving conflicting issues. 
  • Participate in a complex integration program; establish methods and techniques, write integration procedures and reports, and conduct integration utilizing comprehensive knowledge of complex subsystems.
  • Participate in integration and test readiness reviews, design reviews, and audits of integration and test programs and facilities.
Requirements for each position will vary based on level of responsibilities but core Skills/Tools/Experience/Certifications needed for these roles include:
  • An Active TS/SCI clearance is required.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or additional years of experience in lieu of experience
  • 4+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record
  •        Data State within Interpretation Layer (Middleware/Web services)
  • Integration engineering experience on a software development contract including experience:
    • preparing and executing Integration procedures
    • with test script or automation development
    • with systems engineering principles and activities
Ideally candidates will be enthusiastic & energetic and have additional experience in one or more of the following:
  • Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
  • Experience with ground station satellite domains (command and telemetry, flight dynamics or mission planning)
  • Scripting (Python, Perl, CECIL)
  • Experience in an Agile or DevOps development environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating system
  • Experience with Java or C++ 
  • Test engineering experience on a software development contract
  • Test Automation (Eggplant, Cucumber, Gherkin) 
  • Experience with Repository, Syntax highlighting, Verification, Function Argument, Metric generation, coverage statistics and Debugging
NOTE:  MUST BE US CITIZEN WITH AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS DEFENSE RELATED POSITION.  We cannot work with agencies or third parties of any kind in filling these long term, direct W2 hourly positions.
