Job Description

FPGA Developer with Active Secret Clearance
Location: Dallas, TX 75243
Duration: 8 months
Pay Rate-Hourly: $78/hour to $103/hour
Pay Rate-Annual: $162,000/year to $214,000/year

Active Secret Clearance required.

Ready to work on a high performance, large footprint FPGA environment? With Electronic Warfare algorithms?
Your skills in a Xilinx/Intel specific architecture will be stretched when working with our Multi-Gigabit Interfaces, such as PCIe and Gigabit Ethernet, running on FPGA specific transceiver components.
You probably are good with developing simulations and lab functional testing, especially with scripting and COTS test software, too.
And, you probably feel no stress when given high level requirements, and then producing optimal FPGA architectures, right?
You'll be focused on the development of Firmware Requirements Specifications for FPGA designs, VHDL/Verilog-based RTL and functional design, timing analysis, simulation, and integration of FPGA designs into hardware and with tactical software.
Here are some of the skills and experience you already have:
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Latest versions of Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus for FPGA timing closure, placement and routing.
  • Mentor Questasim for test bench development to verify FPGA requirements in simulation using self-checking test bench methodologies.
  • Complex signal processing algorithms for Electronic Warfare Radar Warning Receivers in FPGAs.
  • Ability to present, explain, and refine architectural approaches in consultation with other product stakeholders.
  • Developing optimal FPGA architectures based on high level requirements.
  • Hardware, firmware, and software integration and test using FPGAs and embedded processors
  • VHDL/Verilog for configuring FPGAs
  • Working in a system integration environment, verifying requirements and identifying and correcting defects.
  • Digital receiver implementation.
  • Implementation of digital signal processing algorithms.
  • Linux shell scripting and/or Python scripting experience.
  • Lab testing tools such as LabView and Matlab Experience incorporating third party IP into FPGA designs, including PCIe and high speed Ethernet.
  • Code coverage tools for evaluating test coverage.
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
