Opportunity:  Systems Integrator / Washington, DC / DOD – Active Secret Clearance (Immediate Need)

Position Description
  • Our client in Washington DC is seeking a Systems Integrator to support the Strategic Systems Program (SSP). The ideal candidate must possess strong problem solving skills, a high degree of technical expertise, and a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork. Candidate must be able to meet DoD Cyber workforce requirements within 6 months of being hired.
 
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Work with various customers to elicit and identify business and functional requirements
  • Work with customers to design a software solution to meet those requirements
  • Gather and analyze metrics and customer feedback to formulate new system requirements
  • Configure and perform administrative duties on implemented solutions
  • Evaluate products and upgrades for appropriateness of cost and compatibility. Oversee and implement system upgrade strategies
  • Researches current systems technology and serve as subject matter expert on complex systems
  • processes and procedures
  • Utilize common configuration management practices and peer review to maintain and improve quality of services
  • Develop work plans and estimates as they relate to systems integration work tasks
  • Draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs and other technical documentation
 
Skills Required:
  • Candidates must ensure that resume addresses all stated requirements of the posted requisition. Only resumes that specifically include all required skills/experience/education, will be considered.
 
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability and willingness to obtain within 6 months and maintain CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Experience in customer-facing support, system administration, configuration management and document management, technical writing/editing, and business process analysis/process improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to take responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Self-Starting, proactive approach to tasks
  • Strong learning capacity for software tools and technologies
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Understanding of programming concepts (e.g., conditional statements, looping constructs, etc.), operating systems and/or networking
  • Understanding of databases and SQL
  • Ability to use programming concepts and understanding of databases to effectively implement and configure solutions in Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) and Government of the Shelf (GOTS) products
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of configuration management and testing
  • Ability to work in a team environment with frequent customer contact
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours for system administrative duties, meeting milestones and deliverable dates, etc.
 
Skills Preferred Highly desired skills/experience:
  • Prior experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, C#, and/or JavaScript
  • Crystal Reports
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent
  • Experience Required At least 6 years of related work experience
 
Experience Preferred
  • Education Required Bachelor's Degree. Depending upon experience, will consider candidates with degrees in other disciplines
  • Education Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related degree.
