Director of Operations
 
Under the direction of the CEO and the Division Managing Partners, the Director of Operations has direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all service lines, including Hematology Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Urology, supervising the staff and supporting the clinical activities.  The Director will partner with other Leadership and physicians to support the company’s success.  This includes developing, managing and evaluating procedures and the Divisions’ infrastructure to ensure the highest quality of patient care and efficient economical operations.  The Director will promote a culture of teamwork, excellence, innovation and continual improvement. The Director will research, recommend and facilitate process improvements and innovations to eliminate waste and set standards of work in support of quality care and the most current evidence based medicine.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works collaboratively with the CEO and Physician Managing Partners to operationalize the initiatives and strategies of Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology Services & Urology;
  • Work collaboratively and supportively with the Leadership team across all job functions/service lines to ensure quality patient centered care, financial stability, clinical integration, operational standardization and a positive work environment for staff and providers;

  • Identifies and implements continuous process (LEAN) improvement initiatives;
  • Ensures collaboration and communication between the clinical and administrative staff;
  • Ensures clinical support resources are coordinated effectively;
  • Manages annual performance reviews for direct reports and actively supports employee development;
  • Participates and promotes ongoing performance improvement training and initiatives;
  • Disseminates and enforces DPN policies and procedures;
  • Partners with the Corporate Compliance Officer to ensure activities of Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology & Urology service lines comply with all applicable external regulations and departmental policies and procedures;
  • Follows all health care privacy and safety policies;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/ Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and continuous process improvement (LEAN) strongly preferred;
  • 3-5 years’ clinical hematology oncology, radiation oncology and urology operations management and EMR experience required/strongly preferred;
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle strongly preferred;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook;  
  • Experience working with a Practice Management system is preferred.
