Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Our office at Atrium Medical Center is looking to add an LPN  to their clinic team!
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, assists physician and practitioners with patient care, administrative, environmental and organizational tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  •  Uses approved protocols to assist the MD, NP, & RN in providing direct patient care relating to all aspects of Physician ambulatory treatment involving telephone communication.;
  • Schedules patients appropriately with the correct provider at the correct day and time, and notifies the provider or provider team; 
  • Assists with patient follow up;
  • Performs all documentation requirements in the EHR;
  • Assists physician and practitioners with relaying instructions to patients and families;
  • Administers medications, performs procedures directed by physician and practitioners, within the Ohio Board of Nursing, LPN scope of practice;
  • Assists with preparatory activities such as taking and documenting vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight, and communicates abnormalities to physician or practitioner;
  • Reviews and documents patient medical history including medications, allergies, and medical alerts, documents in the electronic medical record;
  • Assists physician and practitioners with relaying instructions to patients and families;
Required Education and/ Experience:
  • Active Ohio LPN license or Certified Medical Assistant is required; with 2-4 years’ experience preferred.
  • CPR Certification is required.
  • Microsoft Office and general computer skills are required.
  • Previous Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
