Pre-Certification Specialist
Dayton Physicians is looking for an experienced Pre-Certification Specialist to join our team at our Vandalia, OH office!
Pre-Certification Specialist obtains pre-certification for diagnostic testing, treatments and/ or surgeries and relays this information to the patient and their physician; ensure certification is documented in system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contacts insurance companies to obtain pre-certification of requested diagnostic testing, and/or treatments;
  • Documents the certification in the computer system;
  • Notifies physician when medical review is required;
  • Communicates situations projected to result in a non-covered balance to patients and their physicians;
  • Completes diagnostic testing forms and schedules test;
  • Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/ Experience:
  • 2-3 years medical pre-certification experience is preferred.
  • 1 year of previous medical office experience is required.
  • Microsoft Office and general computer skills are required.
  • Experience working with a Practice Management system is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
