Job Description

Position Summary: The Clinical Intern is responsible for projects supporting the Clinical Services Department, New Development Department, Operations Team and other Corporate Departments as assigned. This position is meant as a learning opportunity for an individual in a health related field.

Qualifications and Education: 1. A high school diploma or equivalency is required. 2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.

Essential Functions: 1. Treats staff members according to the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values. 2. Establish internal and external relationships of mutual trust and respect. 3. Check and respond to phone calls, email, voicemail, faxes and charts folder. 4. Attendance at all necessary meetings, including but not limited to, department meetings, small group meetings and project specific meetings. 5. Research of ongoing compliance to regulations updates. 6. Completes ghost calls and prepares scenarios for customer service audits. 7. Assists with external audit response, including chart preparation. 8. Review and analyze operational reports. 9. Review and analyze patient outcomes data. 10. Assist with new clinic market research and analysis. 11. Assist with clinical education research and analysis. 12. Demonstrates a patient, supportive, helpful and instructive approach when assisting clinical staff members with concerns pertaining to any clinical services matter. 13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Programs and Equipment: Constantly uses a computer. Frequently uses a telephone phone and copy/fax/scanner. Frequently uses Microsoft Office applications and Raintree.

Material Handling Occasionally lifting from floor to waist 0-20 lbs.; rarely lifting from waist to shoulder 0-10 lbs.; occasionally carrying, pushing, and pulling 0-20 lbs. In clinical set-up, occasionally lifting from floor to waist and occasional push and pulling 0-50 lbs.

Positional Tolerance: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Frequently sits, occasionally stands and walks. Frequently reaching forward; occasional forward bending and stooping; rarely squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs or ladders.

This position occasionally performs fine motor skills; occasionally reaches above shoulder height, twists at the hips; rarely performs pinching activity and drives a vehicle.

Constantly requires hearing and frequently requires talking.

Constantly requires near acuity, and occasionally requires far acuity, depth perception, adjustment of eye to sharp focus and color vision.
