WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Rotational Inside Sales Engineer, located at our Global Headquarters in Michigan City, IN, reports to our Inside Sales and Technical Support Manager and is responsible for successfully completing an estimated 14 month rotational program comprised of onboarding training, technical support, inside technical sales, product management, and inside sales engineering.

A successful candidate will:

  • Complete each module in the rotational program by meeting or exceeding the expectations of each individual module within the targeted respective time frame.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality service and support to all internal and external customers.
  • Have the ability to provide creative solutions for new problems and is alert to the need for innovation in attacking these problems.
  • Understand and interpret technical requirements and provide technical information in coordination with our technical support team.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, preparing quotations, and participating in sales campaigns in coordination with our inside technical sales team.
  • Identify and deliver qualified opportunities to Territory Managers where appropriate and upon mutual agreement.
  • Assist in creating request for proposal or quote responses to current and potential new customers.
  • Manage inbound calls direct from customers or transferred from Customer Service.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits when communicating with customers.
  • Capture, develop, and communicate new product ideas to the product management team.
  • Work with customers, Product Managers, and Dwyer’s Engineering Department to develop new or modify existing products to meet customer requirements.

Travel

  • This position will require minimal travel.
