Being a Memory Maker as a Audio Visual Technician

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Information Technology in The May Fair

Operations Management and Support of Radisson Blu Edwardian Audio Visual Services.

Key Requirements


  • Understands the position of the AV Service within Radisson Blu Edwardian conference market.
  • Management of department resources to satisfy service requirements and direct management of staff and equipment.
  • Effective decision making and sales ability at multiple levels
  • Is aware of hotel property management system interfaces
  • Ability to manage Alcatel PBX 4400 Telephone systems
  • Knowledge to manage wireless connectivity for guest and corporate networks.
  • Demonstrates understanding of Quadriga, video on demand, broadband, internet access, music on demand using televisions and music systems.
  • Be able to setup video conference systems using ISDN2 and IP protocol
  • Ability to patch Cat5e cables for conference rooms, broadband and wireless connection.
  • To ensure maximum availability and  performance of site IT systems and  infrastructure as part of the day-to-day service and contribute to specific technical requirement by various clients for any conferences.
  • Ability to make effective analysis of the service and implement direct changes at a daily and strategic level.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate successfully with staff members and external clients.
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the company experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Provides Yes I Can and  genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
  • Provision of high-quality Audio Visual Service to all users.
  • Support of Conference and Banqueting Lead Audio Visual Service.
  • Line management of all Department Staff.
  • Technical leadership, support and Trouble Shooting.
  • Equipment Stock and Management, Security, Maintenance and Audit.
  • Sales Support.
  • Management of external AV suppliers.
  • Service Analysis.
  • Full coordination of AV Service and Event Management including placement of equipment and staff.
  • A fast response to ad-hoc AV service requirements.
  • Key Communication with related Departments - C and B Sales, C and B operations and IT. For event management, feedback follow up and strategy.
  • Maintain high quality standards in delivery of service and product installation across the group.
  • Fostering client-relationships and follow through on sales enquiries and measurement of conversion for enquiries into sales.
  • Coordinate show rounds with C and B Sales staff, supporting them with relevant material, price lists and estimates where required.
  • Support of Conference and Banqueting-lead equipment provision, training support and material production.
  • The creation and management of estimates and event proposals, utilizing related internal and external service suppliers.
  • Sales: Identification and follow up for new business, new technology and service methods.
  • Market analysis for Audio Visual including price setting for services.
  • Document and update departmental product database.
  • Ensuring suitable profit margins are achieved when conducting sales and providing event proposals to clients.
  • Keeping up-to-date with company and key departmental revenue reports.
  • Input into new AV systems with certain properties and their conference rooms, project management where required and development of the groups AV template and product.
  • Coordinate maintenance of equipment and create documentation for procedures.
  • Creating service schedules and service log formats for installed and free standing AV.
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
