Being a Memory Maker as a BOH Assistant Manager

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Food & Beverage in The May Fair



Essential Functions

  • The job of an Assitant BOH manager is very important for the smooth running of the Kitchen and Back of House operation. An assistant Back of House manager is the person who will manage, train and develop their team to ensure that areas under their control are cleaned and maintained to high standard with the support of the back of house manager and to manage the business in their absents. An assistant BoH manager should be smart, enthusiastic, professional and polite at all times.

 



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collating all cutlery and crockery stocktakes and highlighting any concerns to the units to action
  • Distribution and communication of all collateral for back of house procedures in food and beverage areas from staff and customer data
  • Must certify that all goods are checked and received
  • BOH training and induction for all BOH employees. Follow up with 45 day and 90 day probation
  • Conduct 6 month and yearly appraisals and follow up.
  • Administer training feedback to measure training effectiveness
  • Identification of training needs and requirements in F&B back of house
  • Conduct and minute monthly meetings,
  • Co-ordinate incoming/outgoing deliveries.
  • Co-ordinate all F&B basic standards documents/SOP
  • Build strong inter-discipline relationships between front of house and Back of house
  • Conduct and record daily / weekly check list sign and file all recordings
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the BOH areas are well maintained.
  • Recording of broken or damaged equipment through MMS.
  • Reporting and recording or any pest sighting, follow up with internal pest controllers
  • Manage and update rotas in accordance to business and budgets
  • Manage key expenses in accordance to Business and budgets
  • Maintaining brands standards for crockery, cutlery and glassware for F&B brands.
  • Liaising with suppliers for existing products needed for operations
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

  • To perform other duties as required in the F&B Team
  • To be up to date with current health and safety procedures in food and beverage
  • To have health and safety qualifications at a minimum level one, work towards level two
