Being a Memory Maker as a Central Maintenance Team Leader

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Maintenance in Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street

To make guest and employees feel special by addressing and responding to maintenance issues in all hotels across the group in providing safe and functional rooms, public areas and back areas. To maintain standards to the highest level.

 Duties and Responsibilities


Maintains and uses in-depth professional knowledge to ensure that all maintenance colleagues are provided with central support and the necessary materials and equipment to perform their job effectively

Ensures company financial goals and  security standards are adhered to

Performs all other duties as directed by the Service Operations Director

Maintains hotel in accordance with maintenance schedule by assigning and supervising maintenance staff

Schedules complete work week coverage for maintenance staff

Coordinates and priorities the distribution of repair-maintenance orders and planned-maintenance orders

Checks and monitors the completed work in order to ensure it is completed to Radisson Edwardian standards

Makes up preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment throughout the hotel

Supervises and participates in maintenance work

Ensures that equipment is operated effectively and efficiently by directing and supervising the operation of all running equipment

Keeps The Maintenance Manager closely informed of anything that could indicate malfunctions, failure or down time

Detects when plant or equipment needs repair, or when it is not economically justifiable to repair, by closely monitoring repair history of all major equipment

Ensures that employees provide Yes I Can genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis

Uses teamwork to support guests and employees

Recruits and selects qualified candidates

Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities

Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing Yes I Can Genuine Hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations

Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service

Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems

Uses teamwork to support guests and employee

Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee

Performs other duties as required to provide Yes I Can Genuine Hospitality

Has knowledge of how to maintenance boilers

Is fully aware of Health and safety procedures

Understand the requirements for effective water management

Has knowledge of how to maintenance various types of Locks

Has knowledge Environmental EHO acknowledgment

Is able to perform Electrical, plumbing, decoration and carpentry task

Understands the Basic housekeeping processes and procedures

Excellent command of English language, ability to communicate effectively with guest and fellow colleagues

Is confident in their ability to communicate  establish rapport

Is able to improve decision making by clarifying goals, sharing perspectives, identifying options and created a way forward

Has the ability to communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels

Is able to develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing reflective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning

Can assign tasks using such techniques as needs analysis, individual skills assessment, objective setting, and communication
