Being a Memory Maker as a Commis Waiter / Waitress

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Food & Beverage in Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester



Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully to guests on all levels and all members of staff.
  • Multi task and prioritize your work.
  • Understand timing of dishes and order your food accordingly.
  • Understand out times and handle your tables accordingly.
  • Have full knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
  • To ensure company’s procedures and standards are maintained to ensure consistent delivery of service
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork to provide excellent guest service.
  • To deliver service standards in accordance with the Brand Service Bible.
  • To adhere to the brand grooming standards in accordance with the official Brand Guideline Bible and to remain within such standards for the entirety of a working shift.
  • Clears tables, cleans food and beverage areas, and prepares equipment and mise en place on an ongoing basis.
  • Keeps up to date with health and safety regulations, and adheres to emergency procedures.

 

  • There are 3 main areas of duties during service:

 

  • Drinks Pick Up
    • Carry a tray comfortably and confidently.
    • Read and understand all the information on the bar tickets.
    • Serve drinks at the table in an elegant and sophisticated manner
    • Serve coffee and tea correctly.
    • Communicate effectively and respectfully with the Bar staff

 

  • Tables and Stations
    • Carry a tray comfortably and confidently.
    • Move around the restaurant swiftly.
    • Scan the whole of the restaurant anticipating guests leaving and prepare yourself accordingly.
    • Clear tables quickly and correctly.
    • Reset tables.
    • Know where all the excess stock is kept for restocking stations throughout the night.


 

  • Food Pick Up
    • Carry plates confidently and elegantly.
    • Read and understand kitchen tickets.
    • Explain every dish at the table.
    • Communicate effectively and respectfully with the Kitchen Chefs

Key Requirements

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Is able to use IT applications, including Microsoft.
  • Is able to achieve a 100% pass mark in Micros competency tests
  • Food & beverage product
  • Excellent knowledge and awareness of the local area
  • Good command of the English language
  • Confident ability to communicate & establish rapport
  • Has knowledge of technical service skills
  • The ability to interact effectively with colleagues in-order to produce result
