Being a Memory Maker as a Demi CDP (Grill style)

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Food Production in Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire

To provide the highest quality food for the hotel by assisting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operation

Key Requirements


  • Has food and  beverage product knowledge, and an understanding of food preparation techniques
  • Has good command of English language
  • Has knowledge of Radisson Blu Edwardian systems and procedures
  • Holds a Food and Hygiene certificate
  • Has the ability to coach i.e. develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing effective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning.
  • Is able to perform all roles and responsibilities of Demi Chef de Partie, and in addition
  • Takes a supervisory responsibility of a section of the kitchen brigade in the absence of the kitchen team leader
  • Works effectively in all sections of the kitchen
  • Completely versed in health and hygiene practices
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the company experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Provides Yes I Can genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
  • Assists with all hot and cold food preparation, including banquets when necessary
  • Aids with the preparation of sauces, soups and hot entrees for service and special functions, insuring that all stations are set for forecasted covers
  • Demonstrates basic recipe knowledge for soups, sauces and entrees, making suggestions to improve quality and eliminate waste
  • Helps to assure that all kitchen personnel and servers are aware of specials, plate presentations and prices
  • Helps to organize and maintain work areas, coolers and storage areas
  • Assists personnel in checking coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food products
  • Prepares work checklist and organizes work stations for each shift
  • Ensures that proper plate presentation and requisitioning procedures are followed
  • Communicates effectively to prevent possible shortages of food to the team leader
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
