Being a Memory Maker as a Director of Sales

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Sales in Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester

To achieve annual revenue targets, profit and customer satisfaction goals by negotiating group, corporate and leisure business and coordinating the execution of the business with other departments.


 Duties and Responsibilities

    • To drive revenue for Edwardian Hotels London within the local and national community across all markets, with a focus on Corporate and MICE business
    • To be Edwardian Hotels London Sales Ambassador company in the local community.
    • Business develop in the local and national markets to drive new corporate and MICE business for the hotel
    • To create innovative entertaining to attract local bookers to use the hotel
    • Network within local business forums to drive share and win new business
    • Work closely with Central Edwardian Hotels London market segmentation personnel to support and win business into the hotel
    • Understand the developments within the local business community and competition pricing and its effect to the hotel
    • Create a monthly sales report to the General Manager and Group Director of Sales
    • Use the management information supplied and actively seeks new MI to uncover new business and increase market share from existing accounts of the hotel
    • Use the company sales management tool, Serenata to record and plan activity on sales contacts and their companies in line with company procedures
    • Will be responsible for coordinating the RBEL overseas sales directors’ strategy for Edwardian Hotels London
    • Will be responsible for all business from their accounts (corporate transient, conference & meetings and leisure)
    • To maintain & develop key accounts for RBEL total portfolio which give a high profile for our brand globally
    • To measure & track all key accounts to ensure they produce revenue for RBEL & feed this information back to the partners
    • Achieves individual and team goals within assigned market segment & key accounts
    • Develops and drives a strategy for key global partnershipsAttends sales meeting with appropriate follow up
    • To oversee the marketing initiatives for the given hotelLead the sales effort for the hotel
    • Complete a hotel Sales & Marketing Plan for the Hotels needs
    • Liaise with the PR Agency in Line with the Companies Vision
    • Report into the General Manager and work alongside the Revenue Manager
    • Monthly Review meetings on KPIs with Edwardian Hotels London Operations TeamWork with the Hotels F & B Team on Tactical F & B Offerings
    • Liase with Marketing on New Strategies within the group and work towards the Brand Key
    • Attend the Monthly Sales MeetingPlay an active role in the Corporate Sales Team

  • Has the ability to maximize impact, maintain interest, and establish a rapport with the audience when conveying information.
  • Demonstrate the ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time.
  • Understands the positioning of the hotels, services provided and how the hotels can meet the needs of customers and be capable of closing business.
  • Understands the cost/benefits of prospective business and vendor contracts and negotiates contracts which result in mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Knows the strategic positioning of the hotels and how the products and services offered compare within the competitive market for targeted market segments.
  • Is able to uses results-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence (e.g., memos, letters, reports, proposals, etc.) with correct grammar and punctuation.
