Being a Memory Maker as a Groups Sales Consultant

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Central Groups, Meetings and Events in Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf

Essential Functions

  • To help achieve group revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by following strategies to increase groups sales.
  • To maximize group sales by professional and efficient handling of bookings from the initial enquiry through to final completion.
  • This should involve exceeding the customer%26rsquo%3Bs expectation on every occasion ensuring that we become the preferred venue for our new, existing and past clients and booking agents.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain and develop existing bank of agents to achieve optimum market share
  • Maintain and develop series and repeat business across group
  • Awareness and understanding of local market
  • Awareness and understanding of local and international trends
  • Attend where necessary FAM trips, site inspections, client visits etc
  • Maximum focus on conversion of group bookings and series
  • Ensure new leads are identified at time of enquiry and handed to Pro-active sales


  • Answer phones within 3 rings
  • Use guest names
  • Efficient handling of all enquiries
  • One hour response to email enquiries and messages
  • Deposit handling
  • Ensure all payment and credit procedures are followed at all times
  • Follow company SOP on third party payment process
  • Prepare pro forma invoices
  • Reaching required percentage targets on GAP and Signature Audits for all team members
  • Ensure all team members are involved in building and maintaining our guest and client relationships
  • Maximizes room revenue by utilizing EZRMS technology
  • Update and completion of daily chase list
  • Prepare and issue contracts on a daily basis
  • Daily filing of correspondence / DMS
  • 10 day checks completed every Thursday
  • Ensure any C and B is booked directly with hotel
  • Full administration ownership of the hotel cluster
  • Attention to detail on all aspects of communication including rooming lists, accounting details etc.
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behaviour and genuine hospitality

  • Has a high level of hotel knowledge across the group
  • GAP standards and sales techniques
  • Has a high level of business communication
  • Has the ability to effectively negotiate and listen to guests needs
  • Is excellent with attention to detail
  • Local area knowledge
  • Has excellent command of English language both written and spoken
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Aims to provide a service that is beyond our clients expectations
  • Ensuring all revenue made is collectable
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources.
  • Understand the positioning of the hotels, services provided and how the hotels can meet the needs of customers and be capable of closing business
