Being a Memory Maker as a Section Housekeeper

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Housekeeping in Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street

 



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Wears correct uniform  name badge and maintain appearance as per company standards
  • Demonstrates excellent time keeping and completes duties assigned
  • Has an excellent record of attendance
  • Cleans and inspects the allocated section of bedrooms, public areas or allocated work area to the company standards
  • Maintains and adheres to GAP standards
  • Allocated work section to be kept tidy and free from trip hazards whilst working
  • Works with housekeeper to record contract cleaning, spring-cleaning, linen changes, etc.
  • Ensures guest belongings are looked after with care
  • Carries out daily checks to ensure that all equipment and lighting in the workstation is functioning properly
  • Keeps the housekeeper informed of the status of rooms in allocated section using IRS (Interactive Room Servicing System)
  • Reports all maintenance defect using MMS (Maintenance management system)
  • Ensures all furniture, fixtures and fittings are well maintained in allocated areas
  • Acts as a buddy and assist in the training and development of new starters and existing employees
  • Takes responsibility of restocking and maintaining of minibar (where applicable)
  • Reports deterioration in standards: i.e. mastic, grouting, chrome work, wallpaper, furniture and upholstery using MMS
  • Ensures maintenance requests have been addressed and rectified
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and use teamwork when providing guest service
  • Is willing to adapt to the changing needs of business
  • Is able to work in all Edwardian Hotels when business demands
  • Is aware of the correct chemical usage (COSSH Training)

  • Is aware of Health and safety procedures
  • Is able to use technology such as IRS, Opera and MMS etc.
  • Good command of English language, ability to communicate effectively with guests and fellow colleagues
  • Has effective organisational skills
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritise the needs of the department and effectively manage resources and time
  • Demonstrates understanding of the technical service skills for the housekeeping area
  • Displays excellent team working skills
  • Has a high level of attention to detail
  • Develops self and others
  • Is aware of the cost factor when managing guest supplies
  • Has a good level of knowledge for manual handling procedures
  • Is confident in advising guests about the hotels facilities
  • Is consistently honest, considerate mature and helpful to our guests and colleagues (a pleasant person to work with)
  • Demonstrates ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manages resources and time
  • Demonstrates understanding of the technical service skills for assigned area (i.e. Maintenance, housekeeping, etc.)
