Being a Memory Maker as a Training & Development Manager (SE)

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Food & Beverage in The May Fair

The Role

  • Customer satisfaction is our key focus as hosts, our aim is to surprise and delight all our guests, by seamlessly providing an experience which exceeds their expectations.
  • Anticipating guest needs and understanding the importance of delivering to each guest personalized service beyond their expectations. Duties and Responsabilities

  • Oversee, develop and deliver all aspects of training required in Food and Beverage
  • Facilitate the training process for all staff in F and B, to include training attendance, test completion, all trainings recorded properly.
  • Ensure correct attendance of company training programmes for new starters in the kitchen, F and B and C and B.
  • Host the company F and B induction programme for new F and B employees, ensuring knowledge and company process is covered.
  • Produce product knowledge assessments for food and beverage, ensuring current members are up to date and have an understanding of their products.
  • Liaise with the outlet managers on new employees needs, based on induction performance.
  • Identification of training needs and requirements in F and B areas from staff and customer data.
  • Update content of company F and B training programmes.
  • To assist the Service Excellence Training and Development Manager in re organising the induction and training process and managing all relevant administration for the F and B department
  • To assist the Service Excellence Training and Development Manager in updating and managing the F and B standard manuals and training manuals.
  • Leads by example, and motivates conference and banqueting employees to anticipate guests needs and deliver service in a way that makes people feel special
  • To assist the Service Excellence Training and Development Manager in organising and managing a strong and efficient F and B structure.
  • To assist in streamlining practices between the departments to ensure consistency and on-going growth of employees.
  • Being a point of contact for the staff for any training queries or issues that arises.
  • To assist the Service Excellence department in the three point service excellence structure.
  • To assist with organising recruitment and advertising for all areas within Food and Beverage.
  • To assist with overseeing training, ensuring we are complying with all legally required trainings and to oversee training in general.
  • To assist in creating and executing team building trainings for the staff.
  • To deliver training and development reports to department heads as necessary.

  • Display a working knowledge of the Hotel in order to assist internal and external clients
  • Has a good command of English
  • Is computer literate i.e. word, outlook, excel etc.
  • To be competent in all the business programs and procedures
