Industrial Engineer Manager

Temple, TX

Full Time/Perm

$70K - $100K

 

Due to company growth and competitiveness, we have invested in a Labor Management System (LMS) as a key means of managing labor within our company. The primary objective of this position is to manage the design and implementation of this Labor Management System.  In addition, the Industrial Engineer Manager may be involved in material handling and process improvement projects in the range of a few hundred thousand to three million dollars.  We are looking for bright individuals with strong work ethic that possess the creative, analytical, and project management skills to help our company operate more effectively and to execute our business initiatives.
 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Implement Labor Management System in our distribution center facilities
Work with technology vendors and our own Information Systems group to develop data feeds and communication structures
Configure various elements of the Labor Management System, including warehouse map, job codes, schedules, dashboards, etc.
Define methods, collect related frequencies, develop standards, and perform audit validations to ensure accurate standards
Create presentation and training materials to facilitate adoption of the system, consistent use of the LMS, and adoption of the best practices associated with the LMS
Provide basic to advanced analysis of system data
Recommend improvement opportunities for our warehouse and order fulfillment processes based on data and review of operations
Provide technical expertise on the system as needed
Ensure projects are implemented within schedule, under budget, and achieve expected objectives
 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
Six to Twelve years of experience as an Industrial Engineer
Have time study experience using stop watch and predetermined time systems
Be MOST certified (highly preferred)
Experience implementing Labor Management System
Strong mathematical and analytical skills including statistical analysis
Proven advanced skills utilizing Excel, Access, and/or SQL
Possess exceptional organizational skills
Commitment to deliver timely, professional, and quality work product with and without direct supervision
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willing to travel a minimum of 40% during the early phases of the LMS implementation.
Able to relocate to Central Texas (1hour north of Austin)
