Job Description


We're seeking a Lead Applications Programmer Analyst with Infor/Lawson experience for a FTE remote opporunity.  Must live within 2 hours of Cincinatti, OH.

 

Under the general supervision and direction of the Applications Solution Leader, this position performs high level technical systems analysis and programming in one or more specialized phases of applications. Also, is delegated the responsibility and accountability of managing the application portion of projects from concept to completion. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Responsible for understanding customer needs and processes to ensure maximum utilization of automation and system availability. Persons in this position are responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Works with other Information System teams to ensure the performance of underlying technical infrastructure and software utilization. This position is also accountable for application development, modifications of existing and new systems, customer support, consulting and providing information as appropriate to departments, management and the organization. Scope includes defining and understanding specification, preparing request for proposals, and participating in system acquisition process and implementation. Serves as an example and facilitator to other team members.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

To provide technical leadership, direction, and technical support for the development, configuration and ongoing maintenance of Lawson Infor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software modules for HR/Payroll, General Ledger, and Supply Chain.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Core job duties include:
  • Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to identify critical functional requirements for new or revised applications.
  • Recommend technical design and procedures for new or revised applications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans associated with system development, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Provides day to day support of Lawson HR and Benefits applications, including issue resolution.
  • Works directly with HR and Payroll end users to troubleshoot HR system and processing issues. Determines the appropriate approach to maintain data integrity and coordinates corrections with HR and Payroll users.
  • Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, including Payroll Manager, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
  • Creates and maintains end user documentation (i.e., processes and procedures, implementations, security, system upgrades, etc.). Communicates changes to users.
  • Provides on-site and remote end user training on HR and Benefit processing in Lawson, as needed. Maintains training materials.
  • Manages the data conversion for new facility acquisitions, employee master file conversions and payroll history conversions. Analysis of the legacy system data to populate the Lawson HR data conversion spreadsheets and works to resolve conversion program errors.
  • Assists with Lawson upgrades and patches. Tests upgrades, and process changes made to the Landmark Global HR system. Documents issues and changes, as appropriate.
  • Provides recommendations for process improvements.
  • Interacts with external vendors and third parties on Lawson-related matters as needed.
  • Works with internal and external auditors and with Compliance department to provide data to support HR audits.
  • Assists with audits, including developing and executing audit queries. Assist HR personnel with the design and upgrade of user specific queries.
  • Creates ad-hoc reporting, as required.
  • Adheres to confidentiality policies within Human Resources and helps ensure HR database is accurate and secure.
  • Continuously works to increase both HR and HR application/tools knowledge.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

         Three to five years of Global HR experience required.

         Strong knowledge of Lawson’s Human Capital Management (HCM) modules including Payroll, Absence Management and Employee Self Service. 

         Experience in Process Flow management, including creation of new process flows. (Landmark specific).

         Experience with Lawson HCM system implementation a plus, preferably in a healthcare setting 

         Strong understanding of Payroll processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefits procedures 

         Knowledge of HR database design, structure, functions and processes.

         Knowledge of developing interfaces with third party vendors.

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree

 

Job Requirements

5-7 years in a related field 

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of some of the following systems based on work assignment: Micro Focus Visual Cobol, Perl scripting, personal computer applications, databases and report writing, experience with Third Party Applications – Kronos, OnBase, MHC, GHX, and BSI Tax Factory, et al.
