Assistant Talent Acquisition Manager

Position Purpose:  The Talent Acquisition Assistant Manager will execute Talent Acquisition strategies to deliver top talent for hiring needs.  This individual will also lead the creation of the Talent Acquisition team as well as day to day management of responsibilities and coaching as needed. The Talent Acquisition Assistant Manager will source, recruit, and present talent to hiring manager within the business, building partnerships with leaders to support talent management initiatives.  The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in creatively sourcing and hiring talent.  Strong communication and influencing skills, the ability to execute strategies and tactics, organize processes and think analytically.  The individual should be comfortable sourcing candidates on their own, using various methods and tools including Internet job boards, associations, groups, university and alumni resources as well as using search engines and cold calling prospects.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Act as Talent Acquisition Manager for subsidiary locations to include decisions on team selection, candidate selection, escalations, communication to all areas of the company, including media planning, and the full cycle recruiting process.
  • Consults with hiring managers to understand business requirements and functions in the department in need of establishing or enhancing pipeline of candidates.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to existing Talent Acquisition processes and procedures.
  • Coach and mentor TA team members, and create environment for knowledge transfer and cross-training.
  • Define criteria for search; conduct interviews; assess and rank candidates; present qualified candidates to hiring managers; Conduct Background Checks through third party provider as required by contract.
  • Establish and build business relationships with the hiring managers, training manager and Site Director in order to successfully understand business needs and provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Strong knowledge of all TA systems to include ATS, assessments, payroll system, sourcing tools, SharePoint, and other technologies.
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements to make hiring decisions.
  • Manage the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting.
  • Review the hiring manager’s interview performance with each candidate and take appropriate action when warranted.
  • Work with and/or direct the efforts of a Talent Acquisition Coordinator and Recruiters.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years professional recruitment experience in a corporate or agency setting preferably in a high volume call center environment.
  • Past success in building and leading high performing talent acquisition teams, including mentoring, motivating, and empowering staff.
  • Full life cycle recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Additional HR generalist experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of internet and related tools as it relates to researching and sourcing talent.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving/analytical skills. Applied knowledge of EEO, ADA, and employment laws.
  • Strong sourcing and candidate relationship building experience required. 
  • Candidate must have a client service mentality to appropriate influence hiring managers in making good sounds hiring decisions.
