Job Description

The Senior Director of Facilities Services is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for clients, employees and the public in accordance with regulatory policies, procedures, standards and practices set forth by New York State OASAS and Department of Health and other local, community and governmental agencies for all FLACRA facilities and sites.


1. Management of all Facility maintenance and cleaning staff with direct oversight of the Director of Facilities.

2. Under the direction of the VP of Finance and Administration, develop and implement Agency Operating Budget, Capital Equipment and Renovation Project/Budget.

3. Develop, implement and monitor internal and external Facility reporting and performance benchmarking.

4. Oversee and coordinate timely inspections of all FLACRA facilities in accordance with Agency policies/procedures.

5. Supports the implementation and ongoing evaluation of facility services to facilitate the organization’s philosophical and treatment approach, therapeutic programming and the ongoing development of services to meet changing demographics and needs of participants, as well as changing funder requirements and community needs.

6. Active participation in SR Leadership team planning and strategy initiatives.

7. Facilitates intra-departmental collaboration to ensure that all departments are communicating effectively and supporting one another as needed.

8. Conduct hiring, recruiting and evaluations for maintenance and cleaning personnel.

9. Oversee the prioritizes day to day maintenance repairs requested by work orders and assures completion.

10. Solicitation and coordination of vendors needed to make necessary repairs at all sites.

11. Solicitation of bids for minor maintenance in accordance with NYS OASAS regulations.

12. Participate and manage on call schedule for on call maintenance personnel to insure 24/7 Agency coverage.

13. Perform other duties and functions as directed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field or related previous Healthcare experience

• Minimum (5) years in building trades and/or minimum (5) years’ experience as facility/maintenance director or leadership role in a health care facility

• Proficient in NYS OASAS and Department of Health environment of care code requirements

• Participate in on-call and available for 24/7 emergency call-in.
