CHIEF NURSING OFFICER (CNO)

Central Desert Behavioral Health is an acute psychiatric care hospital located in Albuquerque New Mexico. We specialize in the treatment of psychiatric disorders for 55+ population focusing on helping people regain their life and live it to the fullest!

We are searching for an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead our clinical team.

About the Opportunity

This executive level position plans, coordinates and directs psychiatric, clinical and nursing patient care activities. Will also champion the hospital’s strategic plans, goals, mission, vision and values of Integrity, Teamwork, Service Excellence, Accountability, Continuous Improvement and Clinical Quality.

The CNO ensure standards of patient care are met and advises medical staff, department managers, administration and the Governing Board in matters related to clinical services.

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator. Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
  • Five Plus years of experience as a CNO, Assistant CNO or equivalent supervisory nursing experience in an inpatient psychiatric environment required.
  • Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN) and BSN (Masters Degree or working towards Masters Degree) with a valid NM state RN license.
