About the Position:

Position Summary:

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining all medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as established Standards of Care and Facility policies and procedures to ensure that a complete medical record program is maintained. They collect and assemble patient records, while ensuring that patient records are accurately processed from admission to discharge. The Medical Records Clerk may also assist the Medical Records Director with other responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at minimum a High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of HIM or medical records experience preferred
  • Must be able to handle a variety of projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills
  • Must have reliable source of transportation
