Position Summary:

The Medical Records/Central Supply Clerk works a dual role with in the facility. As a Medical Records Clerk they are responsible for maintaining all medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as established Standards of Care and Facility policies and procedures to ensure that a complete medical record program is maintained. They also collect and assemble patient records, while ensuring that patient records are accurately processed from admission to discharge. As a Central Supply Clerk they responsible for providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures to various departments in the facility, and maintaining supplies and storage rooms in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. They also have the responsibility of checking invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc. with incoming merchandise.

The Medical Records/Central Supply Clerk may also assist the Medical Records Director with other responsibilities as necessary.



  • Must have at minimum a High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of HIM or medical records experience preferred
  • Must be able to handle a variety of projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills
  • Must have reliable source of transportation


  • Must have a current, unencumbered LVN license, valid in - TX
  • 1-3 years long term care experience preferred
  • Experience in medical records preferred
  • Must be a team player
