Full-time Certified Nursing Aide CNA to serve as facility

Staffing & Central Supply Coordinator

 

 

Position Summary:

The Staffing Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating the staffing needs of the facility for a defined resident/patient population and time frame and maintaining accurate records related to the staffing of the nursing department. The Staffing Coordinator creates a master schedule, adequately staffs the facility’s nursing units according to budgeted hours per patient day and budgeted staffing ratio. They also are responsible for making out the daily schedules for the nursing department and coordinating with the HR/Payroll coordinator to ensure that appropriate time records are kept.

The Central Supply Coordinator is responsible for providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures to various departments in the facility. They will maintain supply and storage rooms in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. When the Central Supply Coordinator handles supplies and equipment, they will ensure that all established safety procedures and precautions are followed. The Central Supply Coordinator will also have the responsibility of checking invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc. with incoming merchandise.

The Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA will provide daily nursing care and services that support the care delivered to patients in the facility. Some of the care and services delivered to patients by the Certified Nursing Assistant include assisting with bathing, changing linens, properly positioning patients, offering hydration, checking in on patients in the morning and night, and taking/ recording vital signs. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Certified Nursing Assistant will may perform other similar duties as assigned by the nursing department when necessary.

With the various responsibilities and access to sensitive information, this Staffing & Central Supply Coordinator will have, it is essential that they maintain total confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information in order to ensure patient/ rights are protected at all times. 

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a CNA in the state of New Mexico
  • Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s conditio
  • Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
  • Must have knowledge of staffing and orientation schedules
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with health care central supply is preferred
  • OnShift or Kronos experience strongly preferred
  • Must speak, read and write fluently in English
  • Must have reliable transportation
