Job Description

Position Summary
Provides day-to-day operational supervisor of a team of administrative, technical, and/or clinical (non-provider) employees and directs office support services to provide support for physician and other providers; and excellent experience for patients. This position is also responsible for managing multiple modality technologies duties (i.e. CT Scans, MRI, Radiological, etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

Office Manager Duties
  1. Provides day-to-day operational supervision of a team of administrative, technical, and/or clinical (non-provider) employees. Includes working in collaboration with Administrator to interview, hire, terminate, discipline, manage performance, etc. of non-provider team members.
  2. Provides guidance and support to team members.
  3. Coordinates operational needs/requirements of office to include but not limited to maintain   machines and equipment; to procure office and medical supplies, equipment, phone service, IT support, etc
  4. Assists in providing information for budget justification, and maintains reports and records needed to account for utilization of funds.
  5. Performs research to collect, analyze and present substantive information for incorporation in administrative and /or technical documents, articles, agenda and correspondence.
  6. Develops, evaluates, recommends and implements methods to improve the processing of the work of the office and utilization of personnel and equipment.
  7. Other duties as assigned and/or needed.

Multiple Modality Duties
Operates imaging equipment such as:
1.  Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  1. Operates a Magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
  2. Transfers, positions and instructs patients regarding the procedure
  3. Selects appropriate imaging techniques, and operates console and peripheral hardwars
  4. Enters and monitors patient data
  5. Transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce transparency
  6. Develops film in automatic processor and inspects for quality and completeness
  7. Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix cameras

2.  Computed Tomography (CT)
  1. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  2. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns
  3. Performs all ultrasound techniques and exam, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetric and gynecological scans, radiation therapy localization for treatment planning and minor surgical procedures.

3.  X-Rays
  1. Operates radiographic equipment; sets up equipment; positions patient appropriately; measures thickness of area to be examined; computes exposure factors to produce radiographs of proper detail, density and contrast.
  2. Operates portable x-ray equipment as assigned.
  3. Positions patients and takes radiographs during examinations.
  4. Reviews radiographs to determine quality and completeness of examination and takes appropriate action.
  5. Performs decontamination or asepsis on equipment.

4.  Other modalities or duties may be required.

Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.  Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Must be able to follow and understand instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.  Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside the Medical Faculty Associates (MFA).  Must be able to do math calculations and input data into the computer.
