Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Perform repair, installation and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment and buildings as directed

2.Ability to use shop equipment, hand, and power tools safely and properly.

3.Familiarity with applicable maintenance terminology.

4.Complete all documentation as required.

5.Report any deficient equipment or building conditions to Management.

6.Request all materials necessary for the completion of work assignment and report materials in need of replenishment to Management.

7.Perform work assignments during times and using methods most conducive to continuity of production.

8.Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with all safety, good manufacturing process, and plant hygiene standards.

9.Keep work areas clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.

10. Must be trained in NFPA 70 E Arc Flash Protection, or able to obtain said training within one year.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

The work day will consist of preventative maintenance, corrective work and troubleshooting/repair. When working on electrical & mechanical systems your specialties needs to include interpreting schematics, PLC’s, VFD’s and control components.

• Someone to work independently troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining, mechanical and electrical components.

• A person with good working knowledge of electrical motors/drives.

• An individual that can work from schematics, sketches, or verbal instructions

• An understanding of behavior based safety systems. A culture of safety is a must.

• An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills. Works well with your internal customers.

• Previous experience in Food Manufacturing experience a plus.

• Standing and walking throughout the day. You will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Basic knowledge of, and the ability to increase in the knowledge of, Electrical and Mechanical areas of responsibility.
