The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.

Assumes responsibility and 24 hour accountability for the clinical and technical operations of Neurodiagnostic Services. Maintains supervisory responsibility for staff and the management of day to day operations in the Department.

Responsibilities:
Maintains expertise in all technical and clinical aspects of neurodiagnostic testing.
Schedules, supervises and evaluates staff.
Assists in the selection of personnel.
Assists the Administrative Director in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining approved salary and non-salary budget.
Assumes responsibility for communicating and implementing changes in hospital/departmental policy/procedures.
Supports staff development through the provision of in service education.
Assumes responsibility for procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies within designated work area.
Assumes responsibility for developing, maintaining, and collecting of all departmental performance improvement.
Assumes responsibility for collecting and reporting of Quarterly compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Acts as a liaison between HOCC and Persante Health Care

Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in related field and/or 3 years experience in neurodiagnostic setting. A minimum of one year experience in leadership or supervisory role. Personal computer input and retrieval skills. Broad understanding of neurodiagnostic testing. Effective problem
solving skills. Effective organizational skills. Effective verbal and written
communications skills.

Critical Success Factors: MS in related field. Self motivated. Organizational skills. Ability and desire to learn. Assumes responsibility for success of self and department. Ability to balance multiple priorities.
