Job Description

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for the directly driving sales in targeted medical centers within their territory. As an early stage innovator with a first-to-market blood loss assessment system, the ASM will need to have the ability and experience to sell conceptually vs the traditional brand sell approach.

• Provide product demonstrations and clinical education to both clinical and administrative stakeholders within hospital accounts

• OR/LD Suites

• Risk Management

• Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute prospect account development process to assure the most efficient effective sales result

• Coordinate post-sales activities, including implementation, product education, in-servicing and ongoing support

• Manage ongoing organic (in-house) account development

• Support Marketing and Engineering by appropriately communicating customer feedback and product performance EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Qualifications BA/BS in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or other related discipline preferred 3-4 years of experience in sales required; experience with large capital equipment preferred as is business-to-business experience Must have a DOCUMENTABLE track record in successful selling and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment You must be comfortable with technology Be able to present using a laptop computer MS Office Salesforce.com Ability to act in an autonomous role with little, if any, management direction Budget, expense, and resource management experience required

• Willing to travel and have overnight stays

• Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record

• Mandatory and background and drug testing (pre and post employment) is required
