Job Title: Area Sales Manager S. Florida Reports To: Director of Sales, East Department: Sales Marketing Direct Reports: 0 Location: 70% Travel/30% Home Office FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and maintaining new and established relationships in the womens health and surgical sector, maintaining a good working relationship with large medical centers in the territory and working directly with the companiy's sales team for territory development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet performance objectives and expectations Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts Proactively lead a joint planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive account relationship Proactively assess, clarify, and validate account needs on an ongoing basis. Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel Directly drive sales in targeted medical centers in your territory Improve client utilization Prepare and deliver customer presentations Create and implement plan for boosting market share Communicate and provide accurate sales reports, forecasts, and budgeting to Senior Management Update CRM daily Activity Pipeline Review with Manager Recognize development needs and coach to improve performance; create opportunities and provide support for career advancement; establish priorities with clear goals and responsibilities to get results from people and exceed expectation Attend and complete all required training and certification exams Follow all company policies regarding travel, expenses, meetings, and meals Maintain high level of knowledge for all products QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE BA/BS in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or other related discipline preferred 3-4 years of experience in sales required; experience with large capital equipment preferred as is business-to-business experience You must have a DOCUMENTABLE track record in successful selling and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities Experience in 3rd party vendor/contractor management Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment Must be highly motivated, possess leadership skills, and have the ability to contribute to the companys development. Willing to travel and have overnight stays Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record is mandatory and background and drug testing (pre and post employment) is required Must be able to handle more than one project and task in unison Ability to act in an autonomous role with little, if any, management direction Budget, expense, and resource management experience required Customer focused and oriented Very detailed and organized COMPETENCIES Ability to organize and prioritize tasks resulting in consistent productivity Ability to function within and support a team environment and build strong working relationships Dependable and punctual Ability to meet accuracy and productivity goals Good problem-solving skills, ability to evaluate situation and prioritize factors in decision making Self-motivated, utilize available resources for self improvement and development Flexible: able to follow directives and accomplish tasks outside of normal duties You must be comfortable with technology, be able to present using a laptop computer and be able demonstrate proficiency with MS Office package, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; as well as Outlook, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Salesforce
