Job Description

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for North America product marketing and brand management related to all products current and in development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead tactical planning and implementation for flagship brand as well as Pharmaceutical product lines in the US and Canada Analyze current market research and competitor strategies Oversee all aspects of a product life cycle Staff the team according to needs Plan the launch of new products and releases; manage the cross functional implementation of the plan Develop and recommend pricing strategies for existing and new products Deliver brand growth and profit objectives Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, training, finance, market/sales analytics, market research, etc.) to develop and implement a brand plan of action based on product profile, market dynamics, as well as competitive landscape and intelligence Generate and execute Florastor franchise tactics that positively affect product growth, product share and sales volume Manage advertising and promotional budget. Ensure promotional budget aligns with planned annual spend Work with agency partners to develop tactical plans and promotional tools that are consistent with brand strategies, are easy for the field to use/deploy and will yield a positive return Ensure that strategies, objectives and tactics for the brand are accurately translated to the field via training programs and manuals Identify market opportunities and customer targets through competitive analysis, positioning, and marketing strategy assessments. Identify specific distribution or channel issues and provide appropriate management. Provide/reinforce strategic plan of action for sales consultants during all POAs QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in related field required 5-7 years of relevant work experience Strong project management skills Ability to create an annual business plan Experience managing a department of more than three individuals 5 or more years of pharmaceutical experience preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Competent in communicating strategies and executing tactics Strong analytical and planning skills are desired Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully
