Job Description

The Director of Operations is responsible for the start-up and management of fiscal and operational activities of assigned locations with a strong emphasis on reliable delivery and coordination of client care, growth, expansion and development of senior living services. Assists the Vice President of Operations with long range planning for and ensuring the fiscal viability of assigned locations. Organizes and directs the agencys ongoing functions. Plans and develops community outreach strategies. Establishes mechanisms for measuring quality care and organizational performance. Regular and frequent travel is required for this position. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: A. In the absence of the Vice President of Operations, the Director of Operations will be vested with the authority to act in behalf of the Vice President of Operations. Appoints a similarly-qualified alternate to be available at all times during operating hours in the absence of the Director of Operations. Acts as a liaison between the governing body and staff. B. Responsible for ensuring quality and safe delivery of senior living services provided. Assists in evaluating services and programs and recommends modifications as indicated; ensures implementation in assigned locations. Ensures that appropriate service polices are developed and implemented. Provides written personnel policies and job descriptions that are made available to all employees. C. Analyzes and interprets financial metrics and key performance indicators to identify changes which could impact staffing levels, quality of care, revenues or expenses; assists with the evaluation of assigned locations performance via performance improvement program and quarterly and annual reviews. D. Responsible for identifying new markets/potential expansion areas for growth and development of private duty services. Drives the expansion of the business in other geographical locations. Provides marketing studies and develops expansion strategies. E. Ensures overall agency preparation for licensure and other audits and surveys as they pertain to administrative functions. Ensures the completion, maintenance and submission of reports and records required by the Secretary of Health and Environment and other State, Federal and/or accrediting regulatory organizations.
