Job Description

The Accountant, Customer Service will be responsible for assisting with the completion of business system implementations and business process design.  They will be responsible for the day to day accounting duties and continuing process development and improvement.


  1. Aide in the completion of the Customer Service business systems implementations; help drive system improvements and support on-going testing in the future
  2. Help create, write and maintain business and accounting processes
  3. Maintain sound accounting methods and systems in accordance with corporate policies, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  4. Responsible for ensuring that transactions are properly recorded and classified in the GL account; requires that they work closely with the operations team.
  5. Ensure intra-company and inter-company transactions are booked correctly
  6. Prepare accruals, journal entries and month end close
  7. Help prepare monthly management reports and analysis
  8. Work with all Customer Service management to prepare annual budgets and forecasts; this includes detail data gathering and financial statement preparation and analysis
  9. Review entries in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for accuracy; research discrepancies and make corrections; prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts
  10. Monitor activity and ensure integrity between Quantum Control and SAP
  11. Help maintain accounting related master data in Quantum Control
  12. Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
  13. Use of analytical skills along with an in depth knowledge of system applications to provide ad-hoc reporting

Education, Work Experience, Certification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  2. Minimum of five years accounting experience in manufacturing or service environment
  3. CPA or CMA not required but a definite plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. 2 to 5 years experience in SAP or other major ERP software
  2. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team oriented environment
  3. Must be self-directed and able to meet deadlines
  4. Highly computer literate with advanced Excel skills
  5. Strong technical accounting skills with core knowledge of internal controls, US GAAP and IFRS
  6. Solid understanding of policies and procedures
  7. Ability to work effectively with all levels
  8. Act as a relationship builder and collaborator; ability to drive consensus
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting and facilitating meetings
  10. Excellent time management and organizational skills
