Job Summary   

 

The Delivery Buyer will be responsible for the ordering, transportation, receiving project administration as well as managing various delivery related functions of assigned suppliers.  They will also Lead / Oversee / PDCA (plan, do, check, act) various group projects for outsource supplier parts.

Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Lead / Oversee / PDCA various group assigned projects and report as required (ie..EPO’s, Expedites, Business plan scorecard updates, Delivery surveys, Supplier Recovery, DSPS, Manual ordering, supplier training).
  • Manage assigned supplier ordering / delivery through GPCS & various manual methods as required to support HPE production.
  • Attend morning production meeting as requested, support reporting of any potential Delivery issues to management
  • Ensure Trip reports / meeting notes are written for all meetings with suppliers.
  • Ensure meeting notes are documented for all internal meetings and are issued with timing and responsibilities.
  • NM PL responsibilities: ensure that any assigned project objectives are met (schedule, delivery, etc.).

Weekly:

  • Create, and keep updated, schedules for short and long term objectives
  • Confirm / verify OS Suppliers production, orders, shipping plan.
  • Review supplier countermeasure responses (DTR’s, Etc..), prior to GL review.
  • Make formal reports to G/L in FTM (Functional Time Meetings) or separate meeting related to overall responsibilities.

Monthly:

  • Support G/L with completing Business Plan Scorecards à preparing SQCDM report for PA Planning
  • Ensure team DTR’s are complete per requirements (allow SPR approval by G/L).
  • Complete 100% of required training.

Bi-Annually / Annually:

  • Support GL as requested to implement group business plan
  • Support GL as requested with budget activities three times each year
  • Ensure OTR participation in physical inventory processes

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months relevant experience
  • BA/BS business, purchasing, engineering, communication (or equivalent work experience)
  • Preferably bilingual Japanese
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to work well with others
  • Detail oriented with strong math and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle high pressure / time sensitive projects
  • Critical thinking and effective problem solving
  • Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • High proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to use/learn Honda systems (GPCS, NARS, CPCS etc)

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to read part drawings
  • Internal audit experience
