Engineer – Development CAE

Job Description

Honda R&D Americas, LLC seeks an Engineer in Raymond, Ohio to prepare and perform automotive crash safety-related impact simulations using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software (ANSA and IS-DYNA). Evaluate the results and perform analysis of crash safety-related simulations against targeted performance criteria, and determine appropriate countermeasures to meet the criteria. Develop new simulation methods to address new test modes or performance evaluation criteria; document simulation analysis results through written reports, and work with design and test engineers to implement any required design changes. Collaborate with software vendors to continue to improve the functionality of their software for the application to address automotive safety problems, collect three-dimensional data, and convert it into usable simulation models.
  • BSME or MS/ME with 5-7 years of CAE and automotive crash testing experience.

  • 5-7 years of experience utilizing CAE tools (LS-DYNA, ANSA, etc.) to develop predictive models for physical crash tests.

  • 5-7 years of experience working around a physical testing environment, including experience surrounding component and full-vehicle crash tests.

  • 5-7 years of experience with crash test safety, test/CAE setup and laboratory procedures     

  • 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • 5-7 years of experience in LS-Dyna

  • 5-7 years of experience in ANSA

  • 5-7 years of experience in Meta-Post

  • 5-7 years of experience in Catia

  • 5-7 years of experience in Linux OS
