Engineering Ladder – Safety Engineer

Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge

  • 0 to 5 years of safety or ergonomic related experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide safety leadership and Technical support to HMA. Implement OSHA

and company safety programs/standards.

  • Develop injury trend statistics and

work with affected departments to implement counter measures.

  • Investigate accidents and injuries.
  • Provide safety Technical consultation and support to

2nd shift production operations.

  • Support confined space entries and hot

work activities.

  • Perform accident follow-ups.
  • Provide emergency response


  • Assist with coordination and delivery of ergonomics and safety


Daily Task Performed

  • Daily interface with production departments, medical services, security,

and emergency service personnel.

  • Complete ergonomic assessments and

lead ergonomic improvement projects.

  • OSHA compliance activities.
  • Facility walkthrough audits.
  • Prepare necessary reports.
  • Other tasks as


Minimum Job Relevant Experience

  •  knowledge of OSHA and other recognized safety standards.

Degree/Certification Required

  • B.S. in engineering or safety field or equivalent experience

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of ergonomic principles.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.

Desired Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to research regulations and apply to work environment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications
