Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to have responsibility for maintaining SOX compliance for their respective area, the general ledger, performing the monthly close, preparing consolidations as well as review and analysis of complex general and revenue accounting transactions and issues. Responsible for performing revenue-related duties, including, but not limited to, recording revenue recognition during reporting period ends, preparing and maintaining various revenue related accruals, and documenting Integer's revenue recognition position. Will have direct interaction with senior management on accounting and finance issues.

  • Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Performs procedures that help to ensure the accounting records responsible for are maintained in full compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Responsible for preparing the internal consolidated financial reports and reviewing the underlying data supporting the financial statements.
  • Prepares reconciliations of more complex general ledger accounts and sub ledgers on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy of information. Prepares and/or reviews general journal entries prior to posting.
  • Has higher-level rights within financial reporting system and supports financial reporting system reconciliations, reporting, and budgeting functions.
  • Maintains compliance with policies and settings within financial reporting system framework.
  • Prepares and reviews various accounting reports, schedules and analyses which support business decisions.
  • Responsible for maintaining standard trial balances and/or sub ledgers, making proper general ledger accruals and entries, and interpreting reports containing financial information.
  • Researches and analyzes general ledger accounts to provide answers to accounting related inquiries.
  • Assists and prepares presentation material in PowerPoint or related software for senior management.
  • Responsible for supporting and interfacing with internal and external auditors throughout the year to meet compliance deadlines.
  • Reviews source documents as required to make appropriate accounting determinations.
  • Reviews contracts to identify accounting issues, documenting our revenue recognition position, and to monitor compliance with the company's revenue recognition policies.
  • Responsible for reviewing research and development contracts and hold regular meetings with RDE teams to properly record revenue recognition during reporting period ends.
  • Prepares and maintains various revenue related accruals (revenue deferrals, customer rebates, customer suspense accounts, bill and hold transactions, etc.) for ongoing pertinence. Analyzes and prepares manual adjustments where necessary to management.
  • Assists in the effort to provide guidance/training with groups outside of corporate accounting, including legal, sales, research, development, quality, and finance to ensure all sources of revenue are properly reviewed for accounting purposes and processed on a timely basis.
  • Monitors industry/regulatory changes with respect to revenue recognition, and helps develop new processes and policies to accommodate accordingly
  • Supports sales, operational, and financial planning and analysis teams
  • Provides support for internal and enterprise-wide project initiatives; including participation in the areas of requirements, design, user acceptance testing and organizational readiness.
  • Maintains an understanding of the company products and programs (new and existing) relative to their impact on revenue transactions, application of ASC 606 and transaction accuracy within the ERP system
  • Prepares and maintains adequate footnote support for Company SEC filings and internal/external audit requests.
  • Performs other duties as required.
