Title: Car Care Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

Reports to: Division Controller, ITW Car Care & Mexico

Job Location:  Houston, TX (Office based role – not remote role)

Summary:

Manages financial planning, analysis and reporting functions for the Car Care Division. Responsible for delivering ongoing reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and value-added business analysis as well as providing leadership on financial process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Weekly Sales Flash Reporting
    • Review Pricing and Promotional Activity
    • New Product Introductions
  • Perform Monthly Analysis
    • Outlook Preparation
    • Results Variance Analysis
    • Management Reporting Key Metrics
    • Sales and Margin Performance Management
  • Perform Quarterly Analysis
    • Financial Reporting
    • Growth Lever Tracking
    • Price Cost Reporting
  • Support the business through analysis of current trends, opportunities, processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI, financial, and operational impacts of ongoing programs well as new projects.
  • Work with business leaders to review economic analysis and support sales team in promotion/pricing strategies.  Conduct Look-back reviews of deals/promotions for comparison to expected results. 
  • Leverages financial analytics to build business cases, present results and recommendation to Senior Management.  Facilitates issue resolution/dealing with ambiguity.
  • Serves as a liaison with Retail Shared Services in the development of Sales Plans and Budgets and progress during the year against plans and expectations.
  • Leverage systems and business knowledge to review and provide accurate and timely reporting and financial results to management.
  • Develop or re-engineer financial processes to increase efficiency and support emerging business initiatives including a leadership role in the expansion of our business intelligence reporting dashboard.
  • Support the financial closing process with analysis and process to understand trends and deviations from expected results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related business field; MBA is preferred
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility
  • Previous experience in consumer, retail business environment preferred
  • Location – Houston TX
  • % Travel – 10%

Competencies:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build complex financial models (business valuation, scenario planning, capital budgeting, etc.).
  • Adept at learning and applying technology tools and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand complex business challenges and formulate solutions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and the ability to influence processes across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Ability to evaluate and manage priorities and deadlines to support unscheduled analysis and projects. Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and able to adjust schedule accordingly.
