Alpine is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to join our team.  In this hybrid role, the Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) is responsible for direct software support for TrussSteel’s ‘80’ customer base including training, education and issue resolution.

The TSS will support the sales effort via software demonstrations and assist in ensuring new users are fully trained.  Through this process, the TSS will also support the product management function by communicating vision to the software development SCRUM team.  They will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business, quality and functional goals are met and is responsible for the design, usability, quality and delivery of the product.  The TSS understands both the technical and business side of the product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user’s needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, and as the primary technical contact for queries related to the product
  • Conduct initial setup, software customization, and software training on site from the beginning to the end of new key customer conversion projects.
  • Deliver professional webinars to entire customer base articulating software features during release phase of new version.
  • Build a rapport and develop lasting relationships with customers’ design staff.
  • Collaboration across stakeholder groups to translate business requirements into themes, epics, and user stories for the development teams to implement
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap and appropriately prioritized product backlog
  • Collaborate with technical leads to determine scope and priorities for product development cycles
  • Work with development teams to ensure they understand the vision for the product and are designing great features for our customers
  • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams
  • Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a comparable discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural building component industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal, communication and presentation skills
  • Software Product strategy and management experience with demonstrated value delivery desired
  • Experience with complex customer environments and/or relevant industry experience
  • Self-motivated, energetic and can work both autonomously and as part of the team
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite; Industry software knowledge is a huge plus
  • Valid driver’s license within state of residence with good driving record
  • 50% travel
