Job Description

This position serves as the primary HR business partner for the Juarez, MX production facility by providing generalist advice and support to Plant Management and employees at all levels.  The incumbent is responsible for defining, developing and implementing human resources initiatives for the group.  They will also support the plant with a highly diverse range of activities such as: 

  • Serving as a strategic HR adviser to the plant
  • Acting as liaison on HR matters between the plant and the rest of the Division’s HR function
  • Providing Talent Management expertise for the plant including development planning, succession planning, leadership development, and training consultation
  • Developing compelling compensation strategies and other programs to enable ITW Filtertek to be a local employer of choice
  • Owning local workforce planning and recruitment activities
  • As a member of the plant’s management team, contributing to the team’s effectiveness and overall business strategies and direction
  • Championing diversity goals, strategies, and plans within the plant

The Plant Human Resource Manager will report to the Division HR Director and work closely with HR colleagues responsible for other Powertrain Plastic locations.


  • BS/BA degree required or combination of business experience and education
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience
  • Ability to develop and implement complex change strategies
  • Experience in all aspects of HR generalist work
  • Excellent understanding of employee relations; interpersonal skills to develop trusting relationships
  • Strong financial skills & business understanding
  • Analytical skills with demonstrated experience leveraging excel and other Office tools to analyze data and make sound business recommendations
  • Experience working successfully in a Mexican production organization
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Mexican Labor Law
  • Excellent understanding of business dynamics and organizational design
  • Can deal with high level of complexity within an ever-changing business environment
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
  • Strong intrinsic motivation, positive charisma and high degree of personal integrity, reliability and identification with the Company
  • Strong people management skills. Excellent at driving accountability and results
