Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this position supports the purchasing functions for both the Danvers & Clearwater facilities.  Ensures that raw materials, outsourcing activities, and purchased finished goods are available when needed for their respective functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Promote, support and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures.

•         Purchase raw materials for the two facilities ensuring that the raw material is available when production is ready to produce. This includes placing POs, communicating with end users, and ensuring receipt of material.

•         Utilize MRD/Kanban systems in the process of Inventory management.

•         Support the outsourcing program.  This includes creation of POs & WOs.

•         Purchase accessories, finished goods, and other third-party resale items for sale to our customers, ensuring materials are available as needed.

•         Support the department with data, tasks, and projects as needed internally and as needed by the Corporate Strategic Souring department. 

•         Follow the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to ensure that the department is fully compliant with the standard.

•         Perform administrative tasks such as cycle counts, and resolution of receipts.


Job Requirements


•         Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.  JDE experience is a plus.

•         Strong verbal and written communication skills

•         Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills

•         Market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses and regions



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•         Bachelor’s  Degree  or equivalent is required

•         1-3 years of purchasing experience including knowledge of purchasing contracts
