JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Mechanical Engineering Intern focused on design and testing concepts relevant to future and current MIG welding products.
Core Responsibilities:
Design, test, and recommend product improvements
Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings
Perform product testing and write test reports to summarize results, observations, and conclusions
Expected Learnings:
Component and assembly design with 3D CAD software
Risk assessment and design enhancement
Connection between engineering and manufacturing
Understanding of product development, data interpretation, and problem resolution
Understanding of Design for Manufacture to facilitate the manufacturing process to reduce manufacturing costs
Job Requirements:
College junior/senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
Hands on knowledge and understanding of MIG welding equipment and processes preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proficient in SolidWorks and Solid Edge preferred
