Job Description

Reporting directly to the Segment Sourcing Director, the Segment Sourcing Analyst is responsible for the development and execution of Segment Sourcing processes, analysis and reporting, as well as ensuring compliance with ITW Sourcing policies and procedures, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the management and execution of Indirect Material, Services and Logistics sourcing activities for the Test & Measurement / Electronics Segment on a global basis.

Primary Responsibilities

  Acts as the primary Segment sourcing interface with the ITW and T&M/E Finance organizations to ensure alignment and compliance with all ITW Sourcing Finance requirements

o  Develops and maintains Segment sourcing processes, procedures, and reports

o  Maintains the Test & Measurement / Electronics Sourcing Dashboard and Executive reports

o  Manages and maintains the Segment spend and Sourcing Excellence processes and reports

o  Develops and manages sourcing financial models for the Segment including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Should Cost modeling, Make vs Buy modeling, as well as Value Engineering (VA/VE), Supplier Cost Reduction Workshops, and DFx activities

  Acts as the primary Segment sourcing interface with the ITW Sourcing Center of Excellence team to develop and integrate best sourcing practices across the Segment, and ensuring the best use of effective supply chain tools, techniques and processes

o  Responsible for ensuring Segment Sourcing Processes are aligned and support the ITW Front to Back business model, and in particular ensure supplier support of MRD

o  Responsible for the Segment Sourcing Excellence process including development, training, and analysis

  Acts as the primary Segment sourcing interface with the ITW Indirect Materials and Logistics Sourcing team to align category strategies, execute applicable sourcing projects, and deliver sourcing savings

o  Performs sourcing and supplier analysis and relationship management as required

o  Travels to suppliers and other Segment and global ITW locations as necessary

  Supports Divisional Sourcing resources to develop and implement Category Strategies and Source plans for Segment Specific categories

  Supports Segment Sourcing Director and Segment Category Managers as required

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  Experience in category management, sourcing, procurement, materials management, financial roles, and/or engineering, preferably in a manufacturing organization, across a large multi-location global business

  High degree of interpersonal and communication skills required

  Extensive personal computer skills, with excellent skills specifically on Microsoft platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required

  MS PowerBI, PowerApps, Access, and MS Project skills preferred

  Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred

  Program/Project Management background or certification preferred

  ITW Toolbox and/or Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred

  BS or BA in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Technical, or Engineering disciplines preferred

  MBA preferred

  Ability to travel up to 75%. International travel may be required

  Ability/willingness to support a flexible schedule including support of early morning or evening meetings to communicate with global Segment resources as necessary

  Training in effective negotiations, procurement, contract law, MRP, and presentations is preferred
