Miller Electric, an ITW company, has an exciting opportunity for a self-driven and innovative Sr. Logistics Manager to join our talented team! This role requires a versatile change agent that will help drive innovation and leadership in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will be responsible for multiple Welding Segment warehouse facilities and operations to ensure that finished goods are organized and maximized for distribution to customers, as well as delivery expectations are met. This role will also be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.

It’s critical to understand the entire supply chain process to drive coordination execution, manage top-tier suppliers, in addition to managing finished goods to our warehouses. The right candidate will evaluate existing logistics programs for our business units and identify continuous improvement opportunities for reducing costs, improving service, and optimizing operations.


  • Develop and implement a differentiated logistics model that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations while creating a strategic advantage for the ITW Welding Group
  • Reduce the time from order to ship while decreasing the overall cost to serve through continuous improvement and best practices
  • Establish KPIs to evaluate performance, quality and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing divisions to ensure appropriate inventory levels across the distribution network
  • Act as a champion for Welding Segment when working with ITW strategic sourcing group for large logistics suppliers, and be key point of communication between warehouse, business units and customer service regarding transportation
  • Drive packaging initiatives to reduce freight damage
  • Manage relationship with approved freight carriers to improve service levels and reduce cost
  • Oversee staffing, facilities, freight agreements and budgeting within the distribution and logistics network
  • Provide strong leadership and talent development for the distribution team


  • Previous experience developing and executing comprehensive logistics plan to drive optimal customer service and profitability
  • Experience with warehouse layout and product placement for maximum use of space
  • Experience establishing inventory accuracy policy and procedures
  • Implement health and safety procedures

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Supply Chain/Business Management, MBA Preferred
  • 7-10 years’ logistics management experience
  • Proven track record of setting and accomplishing short- and long-term strategy and goals
  • Knowledge of best practices in the distribution/warehousing functions
  • Empathetic leader with the ability to work with limited direction
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and organize teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational lines
